Rural News
ARCN has focused on the rural sector for more than 30 years, providing a balanced non-political approach to the current issues impacting on the life and experience of living and working in rural Australia.

Our news service covers all rural commodities, farming, trade and social issues. We are concerned about climate change and the impact it will have on our rural industries and the environment

Survey
A recent survey of radio programs broadcast by the Community Broadcasting Association of Australia (CBAA) - the biggest radio network in Australia - showed that ARCN (or Le Gras News as it was known then) was among the top three national daytime programs of all kinds, including music.

The survey also showed that ARCN was the top rural news service on public country radio stations.

The survey was based partly on satellite feedback from the Digital Delivery Network device, which is now being progressively installed by community radio stations across Australia. When this system is fully installed and operating, we will have more precise information on the use made of our news programs.
